Eating, Praying, Loving

I was home alone,  watching the film Eat, Pray, Love on the Oxygen network.

One of my favorite lines from the book and film:

“Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation,” Elizabeth Gilbert writes and Julia Roberts utters in Eat, Pray, Love.  “We must always be prepared for endless waves of transformation.”

Ted, my latest crush, has other plans tonight, but I am reviewing our conversations about Elizabeth Gilbert and her comments about genius and creativity.  One key to creativity, she says, just show up with your tools and listen to the universe.

‘Ole!’ to you, just for having the sheer human love and stubbornness to keep showing up.”   —(Elizabeth Gilbert)

That’s a lot of food for a Saturday night.
